  • We do NOT provide investment advice, recommendations, or financial planning services
  • We do NOT guarantee accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data
  • We are NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any ETF provider, fund issuer, or financial institution
  • All analysis is for educational and informational purposes only

    • 2. Data Sources & Methodology


    Holdings Data

    Holdings data is sourced from publicly available SEC filings accessed via Alpha Vantage API, which aggregates data from:

  • SEC Form N-PORT filings (monthly holdings reports)
  • SEC Form 13F filings (institutional holdings)
  • Official fund provider disclosures

    • We analyze **complete holdings** (typically 100-500+ positions per ETF) to calculate:

  • Weighted overlap percentages using normalized min-weight methodology
  • Shared holdings identification
  • Portfolio composition analysis

    • Price Data

    Historical price data is sourced from Yahoo Finance public API and cached on our servers for:

  • Rolling correlation calculations (7/14/30/60 day windows)
  • Backtesting scenarios (portfolio simulation using historical returns)
  • Performance comparisons and portfolio optimization

    • Data Limitations

  • Holdings data may be delayed by 30-60 days from fund reporting dates
  • Price data is delayed by 15 minutes during market hours
  • Historical data coverage varies by ETF
  • Backtesting and optimization results are simulations based on historical data and do not predict future performance
  • Fund holdings change continuously; snapshots are point-in-time only

    3. Fair Use & Public Data


    Our use of publicly available data constitutes fair use under applicable law:

  • **Transformative Use**: We perform analysis and create derivative insights, not simple redistribution
  • **Public Data**: All data is sourced from publicly filed SEC documents or public APIs
  • **Educational Purpose**: Non-commercial educational analysis and research
  • **Attribution**: We direct users to official sources for verification and complete information

    TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EIGENDEX AND ITS CREATORS, CONTRIBUTORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
  • Investment losses or financial damages
  • Damages arising from use or inability to use the service
  • Damages arising from errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in data

    • This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.


    5. User Responsibilities


    By accessing or using this service, you agree to:

  • Price data is sourced from public APIs; no ownership claimed
  • We claim no ownership over underlying financial data

    • 6.3 Trademarks

    ETF names, tickers, and related trademarks are property of their respective owners. Use of these names is for identification purposes only and does not imply endorsement.


    7. Privacy & Data Collection


    7.1 Analytics

    We use Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics to collect:

  • Page views and navigation patterns
  • Geographic location (country/region level only)
  • Device and browser information
  • No user accounts or registration required

    • 7.2 Email Collection

    If you voluntarily submit your email address through our newsletter signup or Pro waitlist form, we collect and store:

  • Your email address
  • The source/page where you subscribed
  • The date and time of subscription

    • This information is used solely to send product updates and announcements related to EigenDex. We do not sell or share your email address with third parties. You may request removal at any time by contacting us.


    7.3 Portfolio Data

    Any portfolio data you enter (ETF tickers, allocations, CSV uploads) is processed exclusively in your browser or transiently on our servers for analysis purposes. We do not store, log, or share your portfolio inputs.


    7.4 Cookies

    We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising. Analytics tools may use minimal, privacy-preserving cookies for session continuity.


    8. Changes to Terms


    We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.


    9. Termination


    We may terminate or suspend access to the service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.


    10. Governing Law


    These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.


    11. Pro Subscription & Waitlist


    EigenDex offers a Pro subscription tier ("EigenDex Pro") that provides access to premium features. By joining the waitlist or subscribing:


  • Joining the waitlist does not constitute a purchase or binding agreement
  • Pricing, features, and availability of EigenDex Pro are subject to change without notice
  • Pro subscriptions, when available, will be governed by a separate subscription agreement
  • We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Pro tier at any time
